Hanuman's Leap of Faith is a 7-hour audio series that will take us on a deep dive, exploring Hanuman's great exploits from the epic Ramayana.

At the core of the production are 40 excerpts or passages distilled from Michael Sternfeld's original audio production of the unabridged Valmiki Ramayana, covering virtually everything Hanuman says, does and thinks in the great epic. Interwoven with these passages are introductory sections, commentary, story context, music and prayers from Krishna Das and Michael Sternfeld, creating a rich tapestry of experience and inspiration for all things Hanuman.[split]
This collaboration evolved out of conversations between Michael Sternfeld and Krishna Das, following Krishna Das' participation in the online Ramayana course that Michael taught for the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram in Winter 2021.  The production grew organically from a kirtan-style “call and response” process, in which Michael would send a section to Krishna Das and he would respond with his own.  The result is an elaborately-woven production featuring many facets of the gem known as Hanuman–a veritable Hanumayana.

Hanuman's Leap of Faith is one seamless, elaborately-interwoven production, approx. 7 hours in length—divided into 7 sections for ease of listening.

The general breakdown of the production includes:

  • 1.5 hours of introductory sections, chanting, conclusions and wrap-up by Krishna Das and Michael Sternfeld
  • 4 hours of passages from Michael Sternfeld's original audio production of the Ramayana
  • Approx. 1.5 hours of story narration to create context for all the passages above

Hanuman is a doorway to the Divine.  For anyone on the path, Hanuman provides profound inspiration to live your life to the fullest, pouring your heart into everything you do.  Hanuman's Leap of Faith is a new 7-hour audio collaboration between celebrated Kirtan artist Krishna Das and Ramayana devotee Michael Sternfeld. 

This production explores everything Hanuman!  The centerpiece of the production is 40 passages excerpted from the Ramayana, exploring virtually everything Hanuman says, does and thinks in the great epic.  Wrapped around these gems are story narration, commentary, chanting, prayers and spiritual insights offered by Krishna Das and Sternfeld.
