Amber Lotus has achieved a carbon-negative status with their tree-planting initiative. They choose Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Certified Mixed Source Paper and soy-based inks for their products.

Based in Portland, Oregon and owned by a husband and wife team, Amber Lotus Publishing is a carbon-negative independent publisher of calendars, greeting cards, journals and coloring books.

They approach every design with love and honor as they work with wisdom teachers and talented artists from around the world. Their desire is to create products that illuminate the sacred dimensions of everyday life — mindfulness, creativity, healthy living and earth awareness Sharing the diversity of world cultures and sacred traditions as well as the inspiration and beauty of the natural world is their passion.

Founded in 1988, their original purpose was generating funds to preserve the sacred culture of Tibet. While they still support Tibetan relief projects, they have expanded their mission and are continually guided by the principles of Right Livelihood — doing the greatest good with the least harm.
